Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup unsalted butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add water and milk, and knead until smooth.
- Wrap dough and chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the butter between parchment paper into a rectangle.
- Roll out the dough into a larger rectangle and place the butter in the center.
- Fold the dough over the butter and seal the edges.
- Roll out and fold the dough multiple times to create layers.
- Chill the dough for 1 hour after every two folds.
- Shape the dough into triangles and roll to form croissants.
- Let the croissants rise for 1 hour.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Use cold butter for better layers.
- Allow sufficient rising time for fluffy croissants.
- Experiment with fillings like chocolate or almond paste.
