Ingredients

- 1 pound scallops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse scallops under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add scallops to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd.
- Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Add butter and garlic to the skillet, basting scallops for flavor.
- Remove scallops from the skillet and let rest for a minute.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- Do not overcrowd the skillet.
