Ingredients

  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, vegetable oil, egg, vanilla, and red food coloring.
  4. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  7. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over the butter.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cooked through.
  11. For frosting, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  12. Spread frosting over warm rolls before serving.
