Ingredients

- 2 cups sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg in a bowl.
- Add flour and salt, then knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
- Spread with butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla for frosting.
- Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use active sourdough starter.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen before baking for later use.
