Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg in a bowl.
  2. Add flour and salt, then knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise for 2 hours or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  5. Spread with butter, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and vanilla for frosting.
  10. Spread frosting on warm rolls before serving.
