Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 egg
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, milk, sugar, melted butter, and egg.
  2. Add flour and salt; mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread softened butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle nuts if using.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  10. Let them rise for another hour.
  11. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  12. Let cool before serving.
