Ingredients
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
- Butter – 4 tbsp
- Potatoes – 2 lbs, diced
- Milk – 1/2 cup
- Cheddar cheese – 1 cup, shredded
- Olive oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain and mash potatoes with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
- In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Top mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese and serve with green beans.
Notes
- Feel free to add herbs to the green beans for extra flavor.
- Use low-fat milk for a lighter version of mashed potatoes.
