  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

These air fryer crab cakes are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, packed with delicious crab flavor. Perfect for a quick appetizer or a light dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spray the crab cakes lightly with olive oil on both sides.
  5. Place the crab cakes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  6. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives to the mixture.
  • Make sure to pick through the crab meat to remove any shell pieces.
  • If the mixture feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs until it holds together.
