- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
- Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Spray the crab cakes lightly with olive oil on both sides.
- Place the crab cakes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives to the mixture.
- Make sure to pick through the crab meat to remove any shell pieces.
- If the mixture feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs until it holds together.
