- 1 pound white fish fillets (like cod or tilapia)
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
- Sour cream or yogurt for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix the cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels, then brush both sides with olive oil.
- Coat the fish fillets in the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden and cooked through.
- Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
- Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of the cooked fish on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and fresh cilantro.
- Serve with lime wedges and sour cream or yogurt if desired.
