  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • Sour cream or yogurt for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow dish, mix the cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  3. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels, then brush both sides with olive oil.
  4. Coat the fish fillets in the cornmeal mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Place the coated fish fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the fish is golden and cooked through.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of the cooked fish on each tortilla. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, and fresh cilantro.
