Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Optional: pepper to taste
Instructions
- Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them thinly using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with a kitchen towel.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, sea salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Place the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
- Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chips are crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can experiment with different seasonings such as onion powder, cayenne pepper, or cheese powder.
- Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket; this ensures even cooking.
- Store any leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
