- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas and mix in the sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing just until combined. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
