- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add diced onions and cook until translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir until well coated with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, let it simmer a bit longer.
- Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice for an extra low-carb option.
