- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast in the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
- Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the chicken breasts in a single layer. Spray the tops with more olive oil.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
- While the chicken is cooking, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Once the chicken is done, spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Serve the chicken on a bed of spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, you can spray the chicken with a little more olive oil halfway through the cooking time.
- Feel free to use store-bought marinara sauce or make your own for a fresh taste.
- You can add extra toppings like crushed red pepper flakes or additional herbs for extra flavor.
