Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan with 5-Star Golden Spaghetti

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the chicken breasts in a single layer. Spray the tops with more olive oil.
  6. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
  7. While the chicken is cooking, cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  8. Once the chicken is done, spoon marinara sauce over each piece and top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  10. Serve the chicken on a bed of spaghetti, garnished with fresh basil.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can spray the chicken with a little more olive oil halfway through the cooking time.
  • Feel free to use store-bought marinara sauce or make your own for a fresh taste.
  • You can add extra toppings like crushed red pepper flakes or additional herbs for extra flavor.
