- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked steamed rice
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped chicken thighs and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and soy sauce. Cook until the cabbage has wilted and is tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- If desired, drizzle with sesame oil and mix well.
- Serve the chicken and cabbage mixture over steamed rice and garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can marinate the chicken in soy sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
- This dish can be made in advance and reheated for a quick meal.
