Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, sliced into thin strips
- 4 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cabbage, bell pepper, and onion to the pan. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan and add soy sauce, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Tip 1: Use a high smoke point oil like sesame oil for better flavor.
- Tip 2: Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes in soy sauce and ginger for extra flavor.
- Tip 3: Don’t overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
- Tip 4: Add a splash of rice vinegar for a tangy kick.
- Tip 5: Customize with your favorite veggies like carrots or snap peas.
