  • 1 cup Shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add diced onion, minced garlic, and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes (with juice), chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  4. If using, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and cover until melted, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve over cooked rice or pasta.
