  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 cups cooked white rice (or brown rice)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the cooked chicken, stirring to coat. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. While the chicken cooks, steam the broccoli until tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. To assemble the bowls, divide the cooked rice between serving bowls. Top with the teriyaki chicken and steamed broccoli.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top for garnish. Serve immediately.
