- 4 large Eggs

- 4 cups Powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
- While the cakes are cooling, prepare the buttercream frosting. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
- Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix on low speed until combined. Add the heavy cream and beat on high speed until the frosting is light and fluffy.
- If desired, add food coloring to the frosting to match your graduation theme.
- Once the cakes are completely cooled, place one layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of frosting on top.
- Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake.
- Decorate with graduation-themed decorations as desired.
