- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
- 12 oz black candy melts
- 12 oz white candy melts
- Lollipop sticks
- Black icing for decorating
- Miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for caps
Instructions
- Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add chocolate frosting and mix until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Insert lollipop sticks into each ball.
- Freeze the cake pops for about 30 minutes until firm.
- Melt the black candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to package instructions. Dip each cake pop into the melted candy until fully coated, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place the coated cake pops back on the parchment paper and let them set.
- Once set, use a small amount of melted white candy melts to attach a miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup to the top of each cake pop, resembling a graduation cap.
- Use black icing to create a tassel on each cap for decoration.
