- 1 lb (450g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb (450g) mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 1 lb (450g) clams, cleaned
- 1 lb (450g) fish fillets (such as cod or haddock), cut into chunks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups (950ml) seafood stock or fish stock
- 1 cup (240ml) white wine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Crusty bread (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, seafood stock, white wine, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Add the clams and mussels to the pot. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the shells open.
- Add the shrimp and fish fillets to the pot. Stir gently and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and the fish is cooked through.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat.
- Serve the seafood stew hot, garnished with fresh parsley, and accompanied by crusty bread.
Notes
- You can use any combination of seafood you prefer or have on hand.
- Feel free to add vegetables like zucchini or carrots for extra nutrition.
