Description

This air fryer tofu is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Easy to make and packed with flavor, it’s a great addition to salads, stir-fries, or enjoyed as a snack!


Ingredients

  • 1 block (14 oz) firm or extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a weight on top for about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Once the tofu is pressed, cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the tofu cubes and gently toss to coat.
  4. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until evenly coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
  7. Air fry the tofu for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
