Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block (14 oz) firm or extra-firm tofu
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Drain the tofu and press it to remove excess moisture. Wrap it in a clean kitchen towel and place a weight on top for about 15-20 minutes.
- Once the tofu is pressed, cut it into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the tofu cubes and gently toss to coat.
- Sprinkle the cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches.
- Air fry the tofu for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the tofu is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
